Cloverfield Ok we should have all seen transformers by now which means you should have seen that add for that movie with the exsplosion and the head of the statue of liberty filmed on cam corders. I just would like to talk about speculation about that movie cause it looks awesome. So some ideas of what it is, some say a cthulu movie but there has been mention of that movie already in the works. Some people keep miss understanding in the trailer when some one says "its alive" for "its a lion" some people have started thinking its a voltron movie lol. I have also heard some mention of that it is a giant insect movie, but i duno how an insect is gona cause a lingering fireball like that exsplotion was lol. The fire balls the thrown balls makes it seem more like a cthulu. Either way I hope its a new monster it would be awesome to have something new not just a recache on something old. some take on it http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19964
Re: Cloverfield I'll be skeptical til more surfaces. I want another trailer. Although... it might be cool to go into it not knowing what you're about to encounter... Hrm..
Re: Cloverfield More and more I see things set up by paramount online just keeps making me think cthulhu. Lots of references to the number 6 and psalm 1:18 in the romon cathlic bible speaks of the wrath of the antichrist.
Re: Cloverfield yea i've been researching this movie too. they definitely got me thinking about it. I think the Cthulu concept would be awesome, as it is both religious and monster like. Maybe the old gods have come back to earth to battle in present day. Although a Voltron movie would appear to be awesome, it wont be. The idea is somewhat Power Ranger'ish and making a serious and scary power rangers movie is not possible. Transformers blew so much ass, Michael Gay makes all his actor goto the extremes at times when it is not necessary, and than when they need to be realistic they are silly. Its fucking pathetic.
Re: Cloverfield Are you serious? ... ... You do realize it was TRANSFORMERS and not some made-to-be-serious drama-action movie, right? A CARTOON MADE INTO A MOVIE WITH ACTORS GOING TO EXTREMES?! OH THE HUMANITY. How can you not expect the actors to be clichéd? Man, seriously, learn to gauge your criticism.
Re: Cloverfield "Man, seriously, learn to guage your criticism" I should dick slap you for your E-preaching. WATCH ANY FUCKING Michael Bay movie, and look how the actors act. You canot set a precedence at the beginning of the movie and just let it fall to shit by the middle/end OH WAIT he DID bc he is michael gay. THis formula works for movies like bad boys and bad boys2... I think that is it. But the rest just lose it. Could it be you took offense with my dead on comments. I think so.
Re: Cloverfield Sounds like you've been "michael gayed" before. SO then... why did you see transformers? Why did you expect it to be different if they're ALL THE SAME? FLAME ON!
Re: Cloverfield That's not even fair. Snakes on a Plane (SOAP) was intentionally over the top and bad. It was originally destined to just be a bad movie, but Sammy L refused to shoot any more scenes until the name was changed back to Snakes on a Plane. It's just one of those movies that's so bad it's funny... and it develops a cult following as a result. Army of Darkness, anyone? That, as a movie, was horrible. Cliched acting, horrible dialogue, poor special effects (even for the 80s), but it was so bad... it was GOOD.
Re: Cloverfield i agree with brendan on those two movies. I thoroughly enjoyed SOAP bc it was what it was supposed to be. It wasnt trying to be serious, yet comical, yet semi-serious with a bit a realism, yet give me a break. AND I expected Steven Speilberg to have strapped his dildo on and set Michael Gay straight, but the only reason SSpielberg was involved was because of his boy toy Shia Lebouf, who I think is actually really good in the movie.
