D3 looks boring as fuck if you're watching a guy play by himself. When you are playing with a bunch of your friends, owning shit up, it's freaking awesome.

We'll see. I'm not too hopeful. Maybe I will buy it just to try it assuming I don't get into beta. I actually have the money now.

To their credit, not much true gameplay footage has been uploaded to the 'tubes.

I really believe that once the game releases, and there are hordes of people playing, it will be an awesome experience. You don't really get a sense for how good the game is just from watching the videos. You have to really piece all the little things together in your head to get the bigger picture.

When people like Athene and Day9 do videos about these games, they are trying to cover as many bases as possible and they're either too mathematical about their explanations or they miss important details that you would get from experiencing it firsthand, because they assume certain things.
