far cry 2 screenshots hi guys, this is new screenshot of the latest First-person Shooters far cry 2 just telling you guys coz i have only seen the thread of Quake Wars.
Re: far cry 2 screenshots the web designer/hosts played quake wars.... i think he was the only ONE to play quake wars. None the less, now most membewrs play: Age of Conan (PC) Call of Duty 4 (XBOX 360) and spend the rest of their time waiting for something worthwhile to do.
Re: far cry 2 screenshots yea i got a little bitchy the other day during multiplayer on cod4. sometimes when i play with friends, i get... urked. As i know we should be wiping the floor with anyone we play. None the less if I am playing solo, I rarely ever wear my mic. Just at the end of rounds to hear some cusing or cries of cheating.
Re: far cry 2 screenshots So... I got Far Cry 2 (PC). It's a pretty good single-player experience... but the multiplayer is chaotic at best. At least on the PC... it's really hard to tell what's going on... spawns are incredibly random and not balanced (many times I spawned with someone right in front of me and I could blow them away or I'd get blown away).... long spawn times (20s+ per spawn)... and overall its just not different from any other shooter. The single player is really the only innovative part of the game... the engine is incredibly efficient as it looks almost as good as crysis on max settings... and I am on all Very High settings whereas with Crysis I can only go to the second-lowest settings ("better performance"). The PC version allows you to (like all other PC FPS) save anywhere unlike the console version. The world is huge and contiguous... there are no loading screens except when you die and have to load... or if you take the bus to transport to another area of the map. The buddy system is interesting but flakey at best.. the idea is that if you're near a safehouse and one of your buddies is there, he will save you if you "die" and you will get a second chance instead of having to reload. Sometimes they don't show up so I am not sure what the requirement is for them to help you. Vehicles are fun to drive and the movement is all very fluid. One thing that is cool is that EVERYTHING is in first-person which was annoying at first but it ends up feeling much more immersive and uncomfortable. It is also cool that your character will intelligently enter/exit a vehicle if there is anything blocking your exit. When you switch to the mounted gun (on vehicles that have them) it animates you sliding up from the front seat and visa versa... very cool. Playing on Infamous (the hardest difficulty) I can honestly say this is one of the least forgiving games I have ever played. 4 or 5 shots and I am completely dead if I do not inject myself with a syringe of morphene (liken to a healthpack, but you have to carry them and have a limited amount). AI is pretty decent... if you attack with a sniper rifle they get very panicked very quickly and they will try to seek you out... but they will be smart about it. They take cover and will hop in vehicles to try and take you out... AI trying to run you over is not a rare occurance. The only flaw to the AI that I can tell is that they will occasionally stop their vehicle right next to you (even when the dude is mounted on a machine gun) and get out to attack you... it makes for easy pickings. Missions are fun, and there is a lot of cool stuff to do like blowing up gas tanks and there is a little backstory for each one. For every mission there is an alternate mission offered by a buddy of yours. Each mission you complete will change your reputation which affects the enemy AI. For example if you kill everyone at a mission location... the next place you go to the AI is more skiddish. They tend to run away when you come running and firing... it is quite satisfying (whereas normally they would slowly advance to try and take you out). If you guys have any other questions let me know... multiplayer on the 360 is probably WAY better... it seems like they left the PC MP to rot.
Re: far cry 2 screenshots You have to be sure to talk to them in the safe house before running off to get yourself killed. When you go to the menu it will say "Rescue-Ready" on the buddy. My biggest complaint in the game is it is a little repetitive. But nonetheless it is fun. I can't help watch fire burn when you start it . While realistic its annoying when trying to pick them off Just to give ya'll an idea on how long the game is, doing the story and all side missions(nothing else) I have played 15 hours 5 mins and have 62% of the game complete.
