Negative. The AI director gives you a different experience every time. It is more than just random, too. It intelligently molds your experience on how you progress and the path that you take. And its not simply "clear this area, move on" sometimes the enemies come from behind when you don't expect it. You kinda have to experience it to understand what I mean. It's INTENSE.

Having played the demo I must say it is good fun. I don't think its a buyer though.

I played the demo for left for dead. I think I am fine waiting on this game to hear more. It felt and looked to grainy to me. Especially after playing something as fluid as GOW2.

I get the concept but it still felt clunky. However, the environment/mood and the oh shit feeling was definitley there.

I ran into a which and it was about as creepy and eerie as it gets. She didnt like when I chucked a molotove cocktail at her, and basically destroyed me after that and ran off into some other corner.

So my take is, that it is not a must have at launch, but definitely could be a fun co-op game to play a lil later on.

The grainyness is actually there on purpose... its only there in really dark areas. It adds to the sort of claustrophobic environments (like subway) that are very dark and creepy; it takes you out of your comfort zone. As Valve likes to describe it, the human mind likes to make up stuff and the film grain sometimes tricks you into thinking there is something in the darkness... even if there isn't.

BUT, that said, not everyone likes it... and you can adjust how much there is or if there is any at all.

I think I agree with Carungi. I liked the game, but I think I will want to rent it before I buy it just to play the multiplayer to see how that is. The multiplayer for me will determine whether or not it is replayable and thus worth buying.

I definitely would rent it once in a while to play with you though, Brendan.

Not sure why... I mean, all he is playing is WoW... his opinion doesn't count for shit at the moment :p

JK... except there is a bit of truth to it. WoW mode makes people blind ;)

For the record, I was joking karanji :) I didn't mean anything by it. Except just to point out that you're playing WoW and we all know that is a time consuming game so you don't have as much time to spend on other games.

But I played last night and holy shit that game is awesome. It's wayyy harder than the demo was. Couldn't even beat the first campaign on advanced. The last level fucked us over every time... it was insane. Oh, and the game was 100% flawlessly smooth... and I was hosting the server while playing the game.

not butt hurt, just defending myself. If anything you got overly defensive when I questioned the games integrity. Anyways, I still think it will be cool, but no rush to pick it up. Still got GoW and WoW.

Yeah, I'm in no hurry. Unless the game is a sequel to a really popular game (Halo 2, Halo 3, Gears of War 2, etc.) it's never carried until about 2-3 weeks after release up here. I'd be better off waiting until Thanksgiving.
