Quake Wars release date

    Quake Wars release date

    Looks like ET:QW will be released early to mid July, since the QW server providers are launching servers in approx. one month from now.

    This is also in line with the fact that QuakeCon 2007 is in early August. Do you think they'd take a chance and not release it before then? Doubtful in my mind, if they expect to have any sort of competition.

    tough to do, they had a lot of funds going into it. i say we ask them what they are up to QW wise.

    What helps them a lot (besides a huge community) is the awesome mods they are running. Hopefully there is something like that for QW right off the bat.

    Yeah I hope so, too. I won't be able to contribute as much per month this time as I did last time.

    I have an extra $900/month that I spend on rent/utils so I may only be able to swing around $50/mo. if we even do get a server.

    From the looks of things the server will be cheap, with a "high performance" option (look at the quake 4 servers on branzone). Obviously we'd want the higher perf. package.

    Regardless, a 32 person server should be cheaper than it was with a ranked BF2142 server.

    thank god. bf2142 servers were balls expensive. Yea I could swing 30-50 MAX no more than that.

    I might be able to pitch $10-20. We'll see where I stand after the next month or two. Something fucked up happened with my land lord and I ended up paying 2x the rent I owe. I'm paid into the next month, but right now I'm living day to day.

    Nothing in particular. I just got it because X can be anything (probably the most used variable in history?) and because it's a four-letter domain name.

    Coach is correct. www.cbhx.com also just shows the main Candybarheaven page.

    I have already set up:

    vent.cbhx.com for ventrilo, so you can use that to connect / pass out.

    I also was fooling around and set up cs.cbhx.com to point to retro.gcftw.com just cause we play there all the time and we probably won't get a CS server any time soon.
